The original tracks were released as three 12" singles on the Chromium Industries (owned by Paul Howard) label in 1992. Lagowski does his own thing and I for one am grateful to god for giving me the intellect and intestinal fortitude to withstand and appreciate works like these.

Vermillion," for instance, takes a steady beat and the requisite sci-fi samples and lets the acid do its business, while "Scanner" starts with sharp tones that quickly switch to energetic Clock DVA-like synths. I conclude that this is fucking slamming!.

Andrew Lagowski, SETI. 6 May 2017 ·. With eternal thanks to Martin Hawkes (Marty Tuff of The Stupids) for the invaluable loan of a DAT machine, I recently rescued a large collection of DAT's from a container in our shed. They contain many unreleased tracks recorded between 1991 to 1998. Some from the IMW/Chromium Industries sessions, with alternate versions of the tracks recorded to 24 track there. Some early versions of the tracks that made it onto 'Prismatic' or the GPR 12" singles. Beyond Black: Project 'Preserve Destiny', by . 29 March at 12:40 ·.

Back in the early 1980’s I used to write to people like TG, NWW, Whitehouse, Severed Heads and numerous others. I kept quite a few of the letters I received, and have decided to post a few in an irregular series, here at lagowski. The first two letters are from Steve Stapleton of Nurse With Wound and David Tibet of Current 93, NWW and other. .

Thursday, June 13, 2013. Geomatic/Lagowski ‘Cosmochemistry’ joint album. Geomatic/Lagowski - Cosmochemistry. After over a year of collaboration, digital file exchange and solid determination, the magical union of Geomatic and Lagowski announce the release of their first audio collection, entitled 'Cosmochemistry'. It is a result of their joint fascination with deep space, secret science and unknown forces that sees this perfect melding of deep beats, ultra low bass sequences and cinema grade atmospherics come to fruition

Lagowski engages in some WIRE SCIENCE, with some excellent throwback industrial techno, which, at the time, wasn't so throwback. "Vermillion," for instance, takes a steady beat and the requisite sci-fi samples and lets the acid do its business, while "Scanner" starts with sharp tones that quickly switch to energetic Clock DVA-like synths. The deeper "To Arecibo" contrasts the more abstract melody of "Formant" and its more spry brother, "Formant II." "Voiceprint" returns to the deeper tones, as does the crisp "Blue Anomaly." But the acid of "Insect Dream" lets up at the end with some moody strings, whereas its counterpart, "Insect Logic" keeps the energy up. Though it may sound dated now, it still manages to have a distinctive personality.

I conclude that this is fucking slamming!. Every track on here is blistering and of the very highest order, highly psychoactive. I remember once pulling up to the lights and the drillbit intro to one of the songs made an elderly lady scream in fear and trip as she ran off, I shit you not. None of the tracks on here are for the faint-hearted. Guaranteed to make the halfsteppers think twice about stepping on the dance floor unless they want to get their head kicked in by this sonic leviathan. Lagowski does his own thing and I for one am grateful to god for giving me the intellect and intestinal fortitude to withstand and appreciate works like these.
