Vision Quest Original Soundtrack ‎(CD, Album).

Sometimes a soundtrack will focus on one style of music exclusively, but most of the time, a director will use any types of music he/she finds useful - regardless of genre. The director's job isn't catering to those who limit themselves to one genre of music - it's selecting any music that enables him/her to tell the story well. So if a director finds that everything from heavy metal to R&B to adult contemporary helps him/her tell a story, you could end up with a very diverse soundtrack.

The Breakfast Club: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. There are 10 tracks on the album. I wish there were a couple more since it’s only 40 minutes. Anyway, Madonna has 2 songs (Gambler & Crazy For You) exclusively recorded for this soundtrack along with Don Henley, The Style Council & Journey. Other tracks were previously released elsewhere such as Dio, Foreigner, Sammy Hagar, John Waite & Red Rider. If you don’t own any or just a couple tracks, it’s worth picking it up for the mix of bands, the exclusive tracks and nostalgia.

Vision Quest (released in the UK and Australia as Crazy for You) is a 1985 American coming-of-age drama film starring Matthew Modine, Linda Fiorentino, Michael Schoeffling and Ronny Cox. It is based on Terry Davis' novel Vision Quest. Modine plays a Spokane high school wrestler who falls in love with an older woman, an aspiring artist from New Jersey on her way to San Francisco. The soundtrack to the motion picture was released by Geffen Records on February 12, 1985; it was renamed Crazy for You in some countries such as Australia and the UK due to the new popularity of pop singer Madonna and her song "Crazy for You". The soundtrack does not include "No More Words" by Berlin, nor the background instrumental music by Tangerine Dream, which was released on the fan project Tangerine Tree 73: Soundtrax Track listing.
