Rückert-Lieder (Songs after Rückert) is a song cycle of five Lieder for voice and orchestra or piano by Gustav Mahler, based on poems written by Friedrich Rückert. The songs were first published in Sieben Lieder aus letzter Zeit (Seven Songs of Latter Days)). Blicke mir nicht in die Lieder! (Look not, love, on my work unended!) – 14 June 1901. Ich atmet’ einen linden Duft (I breathed the breath of blossoms red) – July 1901.

4. Rafael Kubelik: Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, 5. - 8. Karl Bohm: Lieder, 9. - 13. Karl Bohm/Berliner Philharmoniker: Kindertotenlieder. In 1968, the talents of Dietrich Fisher Diskau, Karl Bohm and Rafaelñ Kubelik, joined his gifts to seal for the posterity one of the most supreme moments of the Western music, and perhaps, of Mahler's works. The cosmic lyricism and pyramidal approach given by them still stands out as a huge musical monument among the countless versions.

Gustav Mahler (1860-1911): Symphonie N. In D Major "Titan". 22. Kräftig bewegt07:01. 33. Feierlich und gemessen, ohne zu schleppen10:38. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's second recording of the Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen has worn rather less well, the spontaneous ardour of his earlier performance (with Furtwängler and the Philharmonia) here tending to stiffen into melodrama and mannerism. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, baritone Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks Rafael Kubelik, conductor. Digitally remastered. Label: Deutsche Grammophon (DG). Mahler: Symphony N. In D Major; Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Remastered).

Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (28 May 1925 – 18 May 2012) was a German lyric baritone and conductor of classical music, one of the most famous Lieder (art song) performers of the post-war period, best known as a singer of Franz Schubert's Lieder, particularly "Winterreise" of which his recordings with accompanist Gerald Moore and Jörg Demus are still critically acclaimed half a century after their release.
