After recording Amadeus by Giacomo Antonio Perti, in 2010 Sony – Deutsche Harmonia Mundi published Galuppi’s sacred music, followed by a volume on Jommelli. He is music director at the Collegio Ghislieri of Pavia; he has founded and is the leader of the Ghislieri Choir & Consort. He is the director of the Circuito Lombardo di Musica Antica.

The Ghislieri Consort and Giulio Prandi have already rediscovered different works by this Neapolitan composer, including the exquisite 1731 Mass in D Major. Niccolò Jommelli composed his Miserere in concert style for St Peter’s Church in Rome. Vivaldi’s Gloria RV 589 was intended for the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice and was made famous, in part, to the films Shine and The Hunter.

Giacomo Antonio Perti – Giacomo Antonio Perti was an Italian composer of the Baroque era. He was mainly active at Bologna, where he was Maestro di Cappella for sixty years and he was the teacher of Giuseppe Torelli and Giovanni Battista Martini. He was born in Bologna, then part of the Papal States, by the age of 17 he had already written a mass, a motet, and a setting of the Magnificat, and in 1678 he wrote his first opera and oratorio.
