랙 목록. 1. An American In Paris. Piano Concerto In F Major. George Gershwin, Philharmonia Slavonica, Henry Adolph - Rhapsody In Blue - An American In Paris ‎(CD, Album). either too soft, or lost within the gurgle of other instruments - orchestra often doesn't seem to be playing together or in proper time. My only other recording that i have listened to for years is much more enjoyable.

Album · 2008 · 5 Songs. Rhapsody in Blue for Piano and Orchestra. Dieter Goldman, Henry Adolph & Philharmonia Slavonica. 2. Concerto in F Major: I. Allegro. Carter Nice, Radio Symphony Orchestra Ljubljana & Roy Bogas. 3. Concerto in F Major: II. Adagio - Andante.

The Three Preludes for Piano, Rhapsody in Blue, and An American in Paris ARE the passageway, and this disc presents the latter two in performances by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra on this splendid Telarc disc from 1981. Rhapsody in Blue is one of Gershwin’s signature compositions. It was composed in 3 weeks in 1924 in response to a commission for a jazz concerto by Paul Whiteman for his orchestra. Remove the piano from Rhapsody in Blue, and you have the essence of An American in Paris, composed just a few years after the Rhapsody. Once again, Gershwin, a superb songwriter, gave a fabulous melody orchestral life. And once again, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Erich Kunzel perform as though the jazz idiom is their home turf.
