Country Music Legends. This double-CD entry in the COUNTRY MUSIC LEGENDS series makes it clear-if it was ever in doubt-that Conway Twitty was one of the foremost exponents of the sophisticated, melodramatic country ballad. Featuring 20 songs, including "It's Only Make Believe," which was also a big hit for Elvis Presley, and his duet with Loretta Lynn, "As Soon As I Hang Up the Phone," this collection has tear-jerkers galore, notably "Linda on My Mind," "I Hurt Her More Than She Loves Me," and "The Games Daddies Play.

Conway Twitty Sings, not to be confused with a later album in 1966 that also used that title) is the debut album from Conway Twitty, released in 1959. Three of the songs on the album were released as singles and became hits, with the biggest being "It's Only Make Believe," which reached on the Billboard Hot 100. "Story of My Love" and a cover of the Nat King Cole song "Mona Lisa" both reached the top 40. The album itself made no impact on any charts.

There is a country duet album coming out June 9th done by Rhonda Vincent and Gene Watson on Rhonda's label, Upper Management Music, called "Your Money and My Good Looks". Those who have heard some of the material say it's very reminiscent of the Conway and Loretta duet albums. The promotional material for the cover is beyond clever! It's all country music with all the trimmings and should be a treasure.
