Live from KCRW is the fourth live album by the Australian alternative rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It was released on 29 November 2013 on Bad Seed Ltd. The album features a live radio session recorded for KCRW on 18 April 2013 at Apogee Studio in Los Angeles, California, United States. Blackbird Chain - Live From KCRW, 2014 Lyrics. Give me traces of your lifeblood flowing in a loving cup And tell me I'm dream dream dream dreaming and I'll never wake up A keepsake in a dresser drawer from who-knows-where A symbol of your exegesis and a full-length mirror I'll never never never never never never refuse you I'll never never never never never
A few weeks ago, Beck visited the KCRW studios in Los Angeles to perform four songs, and now that set is streaming on this site as an EP entitled Live From KCRW. Playing one song from 2005's Guero and three from his recent album Morning Phase, Beck continued his 2014 conquest of seemingly every late night TV show, radio show and concert venue in the . It sounds like he brought at least some of the ensemble of musicians who played on Morning Phase along for this KCRW appearance, as live drums, bass. and at least two guitars appear on each song
Beck performs on April 16, 2014. The songs are "more boisterous" than this year's mellow "Morning Phase" album, Beck says at a concert in Santa Monica. Although nearly six years passed between Beck's "Modern Guilt" and "Morning Phase," the singer believes he may well have another album out by the end of 2014. Beck performed six songs from "Morning Phase," some of which he had only played live once or twice, in a 16-song set at Apogee Studios, adding Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" to his own 2006 composition "Think I'm in Love" and offering a drawn-out reading of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" that fed into imitations of the late qawwali. singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The concert will be broadcast April 23 on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show and at KCRW. com; "MBE" host Jason Bentley conducted the interview.
