In contrast, a different kind of expressivity is required for the sober and succinct aesthetic of the works with French provenance. Sollazzo creates a pure, bright sound, enhanced by the songs’ incredibly open textures and the use of the rarely heard Pythagorean temperament. All in all, this represents a remarkable debut. rar nitroflare israbox Parle que veut. Rabisox 16 October 2017 10:28. A critical success Parle qui veut won a Diapason d'or de l'année and was nominated for a 2019 BBC Music Magazine Award. It was also named a 'Disc of the Year' by The Arts Desk and a 'Critics’ Choice – Best Recording of 2017' by De Standaard, among accolades further from BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone and Diapason. On Parle qui veut the performers embrace the exuberant style of flourishing melodies which was fashionable in the north of Italy in the fourteenth century

The Sollazzo Ensemble’s debut album transports us to the world of 14th-century Italian troubadours. These moralizing songs have social afflictions such as gossip and treachery firmly in their sights, but this is also witty, inventive, highly mischievous, and often searingly beautiful music. Much of it is anonymous, but it’s a delight to discover composers such as Paolo da Firenze and Francesco Landini, whose complex melodies and harmonies-all within a strange, otherworldly medieval tuning-constantly surprise in their soaring freedom and invention.

This recording by the Solazzo Ensemble isn’t just one to play en seumeillant – while dreaming – but also en fumant – while smoking – as it also contains the smoke-themed Fumeux fume and Puisque je sui fumeux – a whole collection of songs thought of as medieval, but which in fact come from a very wide variety of repertoires, from Italy and France, running from. the 13th to the early 15th centuries.

The Sollazzo Ensemble's debut recording on Linn presents Italian and French songs of the 14th century in engaging performances in the ornate monophonic vocal style of the late middle ages. The group consists of sopranos Perrine Devillers and Yukie Sato, tenor Vivien Simon, medieval fiddlers Anna Danilevskaia and Sophia Danilevskaia, and harpist Vincent Kibildis, who specialize in late medieval and early Renaissance repertoires and perform the music with remarkable fluency and flair

This imaginative debut album from the prize-winning six-member young Sollazzo Ensemble is a landmark: a wholly original approach to the secular music of the 14th century, done with energy and flair. The high voices decorate the polyphonic lines with almost whooping abandon; intonation is incisively pure and rhythms are buoyant. The music, by Perugia, Landini, Solage and others, ranges from serious moralising to witty satire, very knowing about human frailty. Whatever scholars may say about the result, this is a hugely enjoyable and accomplished performance. This album forms part of the ensemble's prize as winners of the 2015 York Early Music Artists Competition and is recorded with a warm clarity by Linn Records in the National Centre for Early Music. The Sollazzo Ensemble are formed of three voices, two vielles and a harp. Their sound is generally bright, deft and energetic with a very clear focus on text.
