I owe mastercharge my life. i've got adolescent skin. my doctor says i can't use any salt. my waist is getting thick but my hair is getting thin. and my house is on the san andreas fault. I need your help, barry manilow. i'm miserable and i don't know what to do. sing me a song. sing it sad and low. no one knows how to suffer quite like you. Recitation: "hello, mandy? it's me. i'm here at the copa. you know, the copacabana. i know i don't write the songs that make the whole world sing but i do know one thing, mandy.

Compilation album by Ray Stevens. The first track, "I Need Your Help Barry Manilow," is a novelty single that made its first album appearance on this collection; both it and the title track are homages to singer-songwriter Barry Manilow, and the album's cover art is itself a spoof of Manilow's album Tryin' to Get the Feeling. I Need Your Help Barry Manilow" was a minor hit for Stevens, narrowly missing the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 (Stevens's last appearance on the chart to date) and reaching on the adult contemporary music charts.

Shriner's Convention" (1980). I Need Your Help Barry Manilow" is a 1979 song by Ray Stevens. It was the first track on Stevens' album, The Feeling's Not Right Again. The single's release in March preceded the release of the album in June. He reaches the conclusion that he needs Manilow to sing one of his more melancholy and wistful songs to comfort him, as several of Manilow's biggest hits have story lines about suffering and misfortune, particularly in love gone awry. Other Manilow songs mentioned or alluded to include "Mandy", "Copacabana", "Can't Smile Without You", "Weekend in New England", "Could It Be Magic" and "Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again"

Stevens released the album Here We Go Again on March 24, 2015, which includes the single "Taylor Swift is Stalking Me" and "Come to the USA". In November he launched his television series, Ray Stevens Nashville, on cable channel RFD-TV. It aired on the network for a season (26 episodes).
