This Whole World" is a song written by Brian Wilson for American rock band the Beach Boys, and was released on their 1970 album Sunflower. Earlier in the year, it had been included on the Warner Brothers promotional sampler album The Big Ball, and as a single, fronted with "Slip On Through", but did not make the US or UK pop charts. The Imperial Show Band, led by Tim Whitsett, was a popular national live act in the United States in the 1960s. It is generally regarded as the first integrated band in the state of Mississippi. With the addition of future southern soul cult figure Tommy Tate on vocals (and later drums as well), they became Tim Whitsett & The Imperial Show Band featuring Tommy Tate. This was significant because other than Memphis's renowned Booker T. & the MGs (who were a house band first, usually regulated to working days and nights in the Stax studio), this made Whitsett's band one of the first, if not the only, integrated bands in the entire Southeastern United States at the time.

The world keeps dreaming the Beatles, long after the Beatles themselves figured the dream was over. Our Beatles have outlasted theirs. It is truly impossible to imagine a world without the Beatles. Yes, they are the biggest, most iconic rock band of all time. Their music continues to delight, define, and provide a soundtrack for fans all over the globe. I was born in late 1959 and my earliest memory is watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Their music is the soundtrack to my childhood and I've never stopped listening to them. I just finished reading the "Beatles: 1966" and "Dreaming the Beatles" back to back.
