The Supremes ('70s): Greatest Hits and Rare Classics is a 1991 compilation album by The Supremes, released on the Motown label. The compilation features one solo song by Jean Terrell "I Had To Fall In Love", which was released in 1978 on A&M Records, and two solo tracks by Scherrie Payne, "When I Looked At Your Face" and "Another Life From Now". Three tracks "Everybody's Got the Right to Love" "Floy Joy" and "Automatically Sunshine" also appear in alternate versions.

70's Greatest Hits & Rare Classics. A rather ragtag greatest-hits collection. The Supremes' changing lineups didn't help give this collection any continuity - nor did the countless producers. Smokey Robinson and Frank Wilson's productions come off better then the others. Wilson produced "Up the Ladder to the Roof," "Stoned Love," and "Everybody's Got the Right to Love," all led by Jean Terrell's biting soprano. Floy Joy" and "Automatically Sunshine" are the two Smokey productions

In fact, Motown itself liked the cover so much it repeated it for the album "The Marvelettes. By the time they made "More Hits By The Supremes" the group had already had three consecutive number one hits and were on their way to set a record with two more, both included on this album. The group was absolutely on top here, harmonies in perfect tune and totally in sync with the ever hot Motown band delivering on every number. Then there is the rare Coca-Cola commercial based on "When That Lovelight Starts Shining In His Eyes", The Supremes singing in German, and the group's interview. Then to top it all off there are the two tracks sometimes talked about but rarely heard by anyone, "Surfer Boy" and "Beach Ball" from the Paramount film, Beach Ball.

greatest ballad ever. This song has to be above Dancing Queen its more iconic for sure. Don't know about Bohemian Rhapsody though. Everyone should help by voting to bring this song to the top 5, and also, Thunder Road, Jungleland, and Backstreets belong on this list. The fact that there are ZERO Bruce Springsteen songs here makes me want to cry.
