In 1992 Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsges. was founded and entrusted with the administration of the palace as a limited-liability company solely owned by the Republic of Austria. The company’s corporate mission embraces the tasks of preservation, utilization and finance: the funding for the preservation of the historic fabric of the palace and garden monuments, together with the revitalization of the entire Schönbrunn complex, has to be generated from the company’s own resources without recourse to state subsidies.
SMS Kaiserin und Königin Maria Theresia ("Empress and Queen Maria Theresa") was an armored cruiser used by the imperial Austro-Hungarian Navy from 1895 to 1917; she was the first ship of that type built by the Austro-Hungarian Navy. The ship was a unique design, built by the Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino shipyard in Trieste; she was laid down in July 1891, launched in April 1893, and completed in November 1894.

Maria Theresia of Austria at the Age of 35 (1752/1753), Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna by Martin van Meytens Maria Theresia (13 May 1717 – 29 November 1780) was the only female ruler of the Habsburg dominions and the last of the House of Habsburg. She married Francis Stephen of Lorraine and had sixteen children, including Queen Marie Antoinette of France, Queen Maria Carolina of Naples, Duchess Maria Amalia of Parma and two Holy Roman Emperors, Joseph II and Leopold II.
