Chinatown is a 1974 American neo-noir mystery film, directed by Roman Polanski from a screenplay by Robert Towne, starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. Wind on the move, a loving embrace As we walk down old Chinatown Looked in your eyes, and studied your face As my world came tumbling down. With half a truth and smiling scars You know, you know there's more to you and me and us, girl So you'll never be the same no matter where you are. And we go, and we go Sometimes high, sometimes low Making choices we'll always regret And I'll always remember the cold Chinatown night we had.

The Move were a British rock band of the late 1960s and the early 1970s. They scored nine Top 20 UK singles in five years, but were among the most popular British bands not to find any real success in the United States. Although bassist-vocalist Chris "Ace" Kefford was the original leader, for most of their career the Move was led by guitarist, singer and songwriter Roy Wood.

No doubt "Chinatown" the movie would be wonderful with any half way decent musical background but combine the movie with Jerry Goldsmith's score and, trust me, you have a masterpiece. It is a true work of genius that has and will continue to stand the test of time as one of the top movie musical scores ever written. From the very beginning that haunting trumpet on the theme song draws you right in and sets the mood for the duration.
