Tamburica (/tæmˈbʊərɪtsə/ or /ˌtæmbəˈrɪtsə/) or Tamboura (Serbo-Croatian: tamburica, тамбурица, meaning "little tamboura"; Hungarian: tambura; Greek: Ταμπουράς, sometimes written tamburrizza or tamburitza) refers to a family of long-necked lutes popular in Southern Europe and Central Europe, especially Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia (especially Vojvodina), Slovenia, and Hungary. It is also known in Burgenland.

Listen to music from Skertich Brothers Tamburitza Orchestra like Haj Vinca, Vinca Ca, Sve Za Tvoju Ljubav & more. Find the latest tracks, albums, and images from Skertich Brothers Tamburitza Orchestra. The Brothers were from Ohio and during the 40's and 50's were the premier group doing tamburitza music. They were featured often on a radio show on Sundays out of Detroit! They made a lot of records most of which my dad had. Their Nebesco Kola and Scrimski Kola were very upbeat and the instruments were all strings.

Braca came out of it's usual winter hybernation bursting onto the Tamburitza scene again for this years' Jackson, CA St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church annual Goat Feed. The weather was California perfect for the 300 paid attendees who enjoyed food, drink and fellowship. A great day was had by all. Thank you to our local and out of town guests for your support. We have been asked to play again for this years' 4th of July celebration (July 4th & 5th) at the St. Sava Serbian Summer Camp in Jackson, CA.
