The EP, Shinoda's first solo release, was released on January 25, 2018, by Warner Bros. The EP was released about six months following lead singer Chester Bennington's death and contains three songs composed by Mike Shinoda as a way to cope with the loss of his friend and to express everything he'd been going through over this period.

Post Traumatic is impersonal and distant. Somebody else defined me/Cannot put the past behind me/Do I even have a decision?/Feeling like I’m living in a story already written, Shinoda laments on Place to Start. But these clumsy lyrics could also be referring to a label exec or another bandmate or his wedding photographer. Shinoda’s misery is all silhouettes, shadows, and darkness, with no characters, no people. When his words aren’t failing him, Shinoda is betrayed by his ear. With few exceptions, Post Traumatic’s default sound bed is bottomless caverns of bass and snares.

Released June 15, 2018. Post Traumatic Tracklist. 1. Place to Start Lyrics. Following the release of his solo EP Post Traumatic in January 2018, Mike Shinoda released two singles ( Nothing Makes Sense Anymore and Crossing A Line ) on March 29 to announce his solo LP of the same name. In his accompanying statement, he said: It’s a journey out of grief and darkness, not into grief and darkness. If people have been through something similar, I hope they feel less alone. The full LP was released on 15th June, 2018. Post Traumatic Q&A.

In most cases, the symptoms develop during the first month after a traumatic event. But in a minority of cases, there may be a delay of months or even years before symptoms start to appear. Some people with PTSD experience long periods when their symptoms are less noticeable, followed by periods where they get worse. Other people have constant severe symptoms. The specific symptoms of PTSD can vary widely between individuals, but generally fall into the categories described below.

The larynx is a funnel-shaped organ in the throat that protects the windpipe and produces sound. The primary functions of the larynx are to protect the trachea, or windpipe, when swallowing and to produce sound. When a person swallows, a cartilage flap called the epiglottis comes down over the voice box and covers the opening. This directs food and liquids off to the sides and down the esophagus, the pipe which goes between the upper throat, or pharynx, and the stomach. If this did not happen, whatever had been swallowed would go down the windpipe and into the lungs. Between swallows, the epiglottis lifts, allowing air to flow freely.

It was released on June 15, 2018  . Precisely because of the issues addressed in the songs, Shinoda decided to publish the album in his name, without using his previous pseudonym, Fort Minor. In early March, he unexpectedly announced that he was working on a solo album, inviting fans to meet him that day in Los Angeles to hear a new song and to join a music video. The inviting fans' event was documented and featured on the music video of "Crossing a Line". Retrieved June 17, 2018.
