At times bluesy, at times psychedelic and proggy, 'Nothing Left To Lose. But The Blues' is a dynamic 5 track journey, that take us through one mans redemption from the blues. With flavours of the late 1960's and early 1970's Jake Quincey & The Big Rad Wolf have channeled their influences well. On First listen we are reminded of Jim Morrison's poetic baritones on The Doors debut album, the wild and psychedelic guitar wizardry of the great Jimi Hendrix, mixed with a good measure of prog pioneers Pink Floyd, and this is all built from an authentic blues core.
The music still has a Bluesy core of course, yet the parent genre has been transformed into a k adventure; breaking new ground – and doing so in a way that left me wondering where each track would lead, because I couldn’t guess. Each track gets into your head and stays there; and that is why I like this EP; its familiar, yet different. His vocals too are remarkably singular, yet reminding me a lot of Morrison.

Nothing's good the news is bad The heat goes on and it drives you mad Scornful thoughts that fly your way You should turn away cause there's nothing more to say. You gave the best you had to give You only have one life to live You fought so hard you were a slave After all you gave there was nothing left to save. You've got nothing left to lose (you've got nothing left to lose) No you've got nothing left to lose (who'd wanna be standing in your shoes).
