With "Ten Days Of Blue" John Beltran created something sacred. An opus that should really be seen independently from any stylistic contexts whatsoever as that what it is: wonderfully enriching, beautiful, subtle music. Perhaps even my favourite ever simple and plain. John Beltran making ambient techno from the hart. The rest is simply beautiful. Using basically the same sounds on every track, creating an ambiance of tranquillity and love, that is to this date unparalleled. I had this on my headphones when I was in the Andes mountains in Chile, nothing but the wide horizon and the beautiful music of John Beltran makes a man feel complete

Ten Days Of Blue (reissue) (heavyweight vinyl 2xLP). Collage Of Dreams (outro) (3:00). The opening "Flex" is one of the greatest of its kind, a near 7 minute voyage of sparse drums, heavy bass and a level of euphoria that is close to match anywhere else

The NME once reckoned there was a clock inside John Beltran's head stuck fast at 5 am. It was because his music appeared to inhabit a pre-dawn state between the dancefloor and the soon to be sex or dream-soaked duvet, a special area where soft rhythm and ticking sensuality were neatly intertwined. John was brought up on classical, jazz and latin at home - early sonic memories include John Coltrane, Tito Puente and Bach.

Blue Train is a studio album by John Coltrane, released in January 1958 on Blue Note Records, catalogue BLP 1577. Recorded at the Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, New Jersey. It is the only Blue Note recording by Coltrane as session leader. It has been certified a gold record by the RIAA. The album was recorded in the midst of Coltrane's residency at the Five Spot as a member of the Thelonious Monk quartet

This Is John Beltran. This release is illegal. Peacefrog has ripped me and many others off for years. I've never been paid a cent. Now they must be in need of money or something. Don't give it to them. I released the LP on Band Camp for free yesterday and or for a donation to an animal shelter in Peacefrogs country. They have blocked that release with a copyright infringement letter. It's not about the money anymore. Now it's personal.

The 2018 reissue has been done illegally according to John Beltran. They haven’t paid him a dime. Avoid...

Any knowledge of the pressing quality on the 2018 reissue?

One of the first techno albums I'd ever heard and it changed my perception on what techno was and could be. Absolutely brilliant and genre bending.

looking for an original sleeve if anyone is willing to sell?

Looks like everyone has their favorite here- surprised honestly that Gutaris Breeze (6000 km To Amsterdam) hasn't been mentioned. I think it's just an amazing amazing piece of music. Light, muscular, melodic, Latin, incredibly danceable yet beatless- just unreal. I can imagine a bunch of breakdancers poppin and lockin to it just as well as myself, toes in the sand, on a breezy beach in the Caribbean. Musical perfection.

In 1996, years before he switched to making banal Latino House, John Beltran created "Ten Days Of Blue" and with it one of the most sophisticated and beautiful electronic albums ever. Representing a nice balance between the techier "Earth & Nightfall" (R&S, 1995) and the jazzier "The Cry" (1996 on Peacefrog as Placid Angles) Beltran's masterpiece creates fantastic Ambient soundscapes full of intricate stabs and arpeggios as they can only be heard on this album. Sequences of sounds as if they were made of glass - clear, light, fragile, echoing, sometimes sharp and crisp, sometimes smooth and round - occasionally accompanied by symphonic strings, more rarely by a beat, are only half the deal when it comes to describing the wonderful aesthetics generated on this record. As with all good music, the beauty lies "between the notes": listen yourself and you will soon find yourself in that personal, special place good music can take you to in the right moment. The intense experience is supported by Beltran's gift to unite complex rhythmic (yet mostly beatless) structures with tonally composed, gentle melodies and a loud and crystal clear, very three-dimensional sounding pressing. Gorgeous artwork design adds to the overall impression. With "Ten Days Of Blue" John Beltran created something sacred. An opus that should really be seen independently from any stylistic contexts whatsoever as that what it is: wonderfully enriching, beautiful, subtle music. Perhaps even my favourite ever.

This album is a masterpiece..simple and plain. John Beltran making ambient techno from the hart. The songs "Flex" and "Deluge" are somewhat out of place on this album cause the sound of these tracks are a little industrial IMHO. The rest is simply beautiful. Using basically the same sounds on every track, creating an ambiance of tranquillity and love, that is to this date unparalleled. I had this on my headphones when I was in the Andes mountains in Chile, nothing but the wide horizon and the beautiful music of John Beltran makes a man feel complete. I will treasure this record for ever!

This is the only album i have on 4 audio carriers: cd(for downstairs), vinyl (for upstairs), md (for train) and cassette (for car). This album is simply amazing. Ambient brought in a unique and brilliant way. Eespcially soft summer is one of those tracks that bring comfort at the time everything seems to go wrong. Essential!!!

Where I have been when this came out? No mediocre track at all on this record, it is a fantastic sound experience here. Emphasized ambient melodies between fine minimal electronica rhythms. "Collage Of Dreams" is one of those tracks impossible ever to forget, perfect for listening in relaxing moments.
