Huey Lewis and the News is the debut album by American rock band Huey Lewis and the News, released in 1980. In 1979, the band's name was Huey Lewis and the American Express. Under this name they released a single and secured their recording contract with Chrysalis Records at the end of the year. The album was recorded within three weeks and the producer was Bill Schnee, who had produced for Boz Scaggs and Pablo Cruise.
Fore! is the fourth studio album by American rock band Huey Lewis and the News, released in 1986. Upon its release in August 1986, the album hit number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart and went on to score five top-ten Billboard Hot 100 singles, including the number-one hits: "Stuck with You" and "Jacob's Ladder". The wall that Lewis and the members of the band stand against on the album's cover is a wall from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California.
You like Huey Lewis and the News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this, Fore!, their most accomplished album.

Don't get me wrong, for there are other bands out there who are just as popular as Huey Lewis & the News, if not even more popular, such as Journey and Rush - whom I also love to this day, but Huey Lewis's band is one of the groups I began listening to early on in my teenage years. Besides, they are still pretty much "The Heart of Rock & Roll".
Lewis sings lead and plays harmonica for his band, Huey Lewis and the News, in addition to writing or co-writing many of the band's songs. The band is known for their third, and best-selling, album Sports, and their contribution to the soundtrack of the 1985 feature film Back to the Future. Lewis previously played with the band Clover from 1972 to 1979. Huey Lewis and the News.
