Television is the third album by American rock band Television. The album was released in 1992, fourteen years after the band's second studio album and subsequent break up in 1978. A video for "Call Mr. Lee" was filmed and aired on MTV to limited play. Television has generally been well received by critics.
Going by the name of the Television Addicts (the A-side to their 1977 single and best-known track), they were joined by lifelong Victims fan Ray Ahn from the Hard Ons and proceeded to belt out a set of classic Victims tunes, including "Disco Junkies", Out of My Head, and of course, Television Addict. Yeah If I had one regret if would be not being able to somehow find some money to record an album when we recorded Television Addict. We were on fire, and there’s something about that recording that is amazing. If we just had another two or three days we could have made a fucking album. But isn’t part of the mystique and legend that surrounds the Victims the limited recorded output? Yeah I guess, but I’d rather be remembered for a killer album than a killer single. Just hearing the way the single was recorded it was a perfect setting. Why did the band finish up?
In 1977 the Victims recorded their debut single, "Television Addict" (Faulkner/Baker), "I'm Flipped Out Over You" (Baker/Buncle), of which only 1,000 copies were pressed. In August 1978 they released a five-track extended play, The Victims (also known as No Thanks to the Human Turd), with: "I Understand", "Open Your Eyes", "TV Freak", "High School Girls" and "Disco Junkies". By mid-1978 the Victims had disbanded, they briefly reunited in early 1979 to provide a farewell gig. Baker was a founder of The Scientists (1978–81). Flick reverted to using his surname, Faulkner, and.

Artist: The Victims Song: "Television Addict" Album: Television Addict (single) Year: 1977. Though many try and write it off as only something that occurred in the US and UK, there is no question that punk rock was and is a musical form that has been able to touch every corner of the globe. Even in its earliest years, one can find strong representations of the genre all over the world, and while many overlook it, there were few countries that churned out more top-notch punk music than Australia.
