One of my favourite albums ever. Luxurious. Emotive. Stadium sized ambient. Simples.

abridged forthcoming Audion review"The Simple Plan" would seem to invoke the attitude of doing as little as possible, but no this is more than that and quite musical in an ambient way. This is one notch down and slightly darker than similar stuff by Brian Eno or Steve Roach, divided into six segments that ooze and flow - not quite new age but close. Not much more one can say than that, as the tonalities are rather unfocused, some vaguely organ like sounds, a few also melodic progressions, but mostly - not a lot, doing what it does quite nicely! The bonus CD-R "reworkings of the original 'The Simple Plan' recordings" is just three big oozing slabs. This Time is more what I expected from the main album, whereas Elysium is much richer harmonically with gentle patterns of blips floating in and out. At Last is more unfocussed - sounds like it's someone vacuum cleaning a church organ underwater - methinks.
