In 1992, Dag Nasty reformed with Smalley on vocals and released the album Four on the Floor. In 1991, Selfless Records had released 85-86, a collection of early, pre-Can I Say recordings. In 2002 the band got back together, again with Smalley on the mic, returning the band to a hardcore sound. The result of this reunion was the album Minority of One. To this day they still release records, though Dag Nasty remains more of a side project for its members than a full-time active band.

Brian Baker, formerly of Minor Threat, formed Dag Nasty with Colin Sears, Roger Marbury and Shawn Brown in 1985. Shawn's replacement on vocals (by ex- DYS frontman Dave Smalley) shortly before the recording of their debut full-length, Can I Say, began a revolving door membership that was to continue throughout their duration as a band (ultimately leaving Brian as the only original member. Dag Nasty recorded Can I Say in June 1986, and Wig Out at Denkos in July 1987, for Dischord Records before moving to Giant Records for the release of Field Day in 1988.

Field Day is a studio album by Dag Nasty released in 1988 through Giant Records; it was released in Europe on We Bite Records. The album features a cover-version of The Ruts classic "Staring at the Rude Boys". It also offers a new recording of the band classic 'Under Your Influence'. The original version appears on the band's debut LP Can I Say with vocalist Dave Smalley. The CD bonus track "12XU" is originally written by Wire but has been covered by Brian Baker's former band Minor Threat, too.

Audio CD, May 8, 1992.
