Did The Moody Blues re-record the songs on Go Now & Other First Hits with Justin Hayward for this album, or did the record company choose this photo for sales or ignorance. As far as my collection of their records shows Denny Laine should be on the cover. I believe Yes did this same tactic for their second album, Time And A Word. Bottom line is this is great early Blues by the Moodies. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Go Now" is a song composed by Larry Banks and Milton Bennett. It was first recorded in January 1964 by Bessie Banks, and later became associated with The Moody Blues. The song was first recorded by Larry Banks's former wife, Bessie Banks. A 1962 demo recording by Bessie of the song was heard by songwriters and record producers Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who re-recorded it in late 1963, with arrangement by Gary Sherman and backing vocals from Dee Dee Warwick and Cissy Houston.
