Lifetime is the fourth album by the influential New Jersey band Lifetime. Lifetime broke up in 1997, but reformed in 2005 to play at Hellfest. Since then, the group has performed shows sporadically. On March 28,2006, it was announced that the band had signed to Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy's label Decaydance, an imprint of Fueled By Ramen. Wentz explained that he signed the group "because the world needs another Lifetime record. In July, the band went on a brief headlining tour of the .

Once in a Lifetime refers to two compilation albums by the American rock band Talking Heads, being a one-disc set released in Europe, Australia and New Zealand by Sire, Warner Bros. in 1992, and a three-disc set released in the United States of America by Sire, Warner Bros. The single-CD The Best Of (Once in a Lifetime) (1992) is a fourteen-track collection released at the same time as the double disc anthology Sand in the Vaseline was released in the United States of America
Lifetime isn't an album of sunny delight; nighttime is the predominant ambiance. Airport Monday Morning" documents a girl's departure, and its harmonies and last-ditch chorus turn out like this: The protagonist watches a line-halting couple kissing at the airport. Conversely, "Just a Quiet Night" embraces domesticity, as does the one-on-one vinyl listening session "Records at Nite" (have fun guessing what they're spinning). Lifetime is less about meeting the kids at the flagpole and more about the exhaustion brought on by navigating love, boredom, shows, and sickness.
