First, a lighthouse doesn't look anything like a ship. Unless the weather's really foggy-and most versions of the story don't mention fog - you can see a lighthouse from far away as a fixed white light that flashes at a set number of seconds. On the other hand, ships are usually moving and have smaller, colored lights at the fore and aft. There's absolutely no way to mistake one for the other. A Canadian lighthouse keeper, Jim Abram of British Columbia, agreed

Late night music isn’t a genre, but there’s definitely a feeling-there’s something slightly darker about it, a little bit ethereal even. And it’s almost never music that you crank up. These are albums for setting a mood, and getting comfortable with it until it’s time to start a new day. Settle in with us, as we give you our list of essential late night albums. It feels appropriate that our foray into the late night hours begins here. Midnight-’round about there anyhow-is more or less where late night begins, technically the start of a new day but by no means the end of the evening. From the atmospheric Sleeping Pill to road-trippers like California (All the Way) to imperfect love songs This Time Around and Tiger Lily, this was a go-to album for my romantic mixtapes and bedroom soundtracks through college and beyond. It remains crystalline and unimpeachable.

It shows me the way wherein I should go, both night and day (comp. 119:105-112 The word of God directs us in our work and way, and a dark place indeed the world would be without it. The commandment is a lamp kept burning with the oil of the Spirit, as a light to direct us in the choice of our way, and the steps we take in that way. The keeping of God's commands here meant, was that of a sinner under a dispensation of mercy, of a believer having part in the covenant of grace. The psalmist is often afflicted; but with longing desires to become more.

Formed in 2012 after meeting at Western Washington University, Mills and Knight's combination of airy dreaminess with textured bass and live percussion has set them apart from the pack, with a craftsman-like approach to their sound, building beats from the ground up.

About through the late night. This song is the second time these two have collaborated on Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Travis flips Cudi’s breakout hit Day N' Night during his verse. This is actually the second time that Travis refers to this Cudi hit. Back in 2008, on one of his first musical projects, The Graduates EP with Chris Holloway, one of the tracks was called Day'n'Nite. Travis said that Kid.

First record of Critical that captured my attention back in 2007. Both tunes are slightly different and good on their own. For me "With No Light To Guide My Way" is a real emotional gem here. And that bassss... Proper stuff.
