Infobox Album Name The Collection Type Compilation album Artist Nik Kershaw. The Collection" (1991) is an album by Nik Kershaw.
The Works the fourth studio solo album by the English singer-songwriter and t Nik Kershaw. It is the last album that he created for MCA Records, in 1989. It introduces slight jazz influences in some tracks. The title could be interpreted as "the end", a possibility supported by the lyrics of the track "Take My Place". He did not release any new material until 15 Minutes, 10 years later. The album was not commercially successful, failing to make any national impact in the European charts.
Track durations are the actual track lengths as they differ somewhat from the ones listed on the disc.
You may think Nik Kershaw only had a couple of hits but this album proves that this is not the case with hits such as Wouldn't It Be Good, The Riddle, Don Quixote and I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me (my favourite). If you're feeling nostalgic and reminiscing about dancing at the local disco wearing leg warmers and lots of eyeliner then this is a great album. Nik Kershaw, The collection.
Then and Now (Nik Kershaw album). Then & Now: The Very Best of Nik Kershaw, released in 2005, combines Nik Kershaw hits, collaborations and a few new tracks. Wouldn't It Be Good". I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me". "Human Racing". Old Friend" (Elton John and Nik Kershaw).
