Live in Europe is the third album by Irish blues guitarist Rory Gallagher, released in 1972. It is a series of live recordings made during his European tour that year. Unusual for a live album, it contains just two songs previously recorded and released by Gallagher ("Laundromat" and "In Your Town"). All the other songs are either new Gallagher songs or Gallagher's interpretation of traditional blues songs.
William Rory Gallagher (/ˈrɔːri ˈɡæləhər/ GAL-ə-hər; 2 March 1948 – 14 June 1995) was an Irish blues and rock t, songwriter, and producer. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, and brought up in Cork, Gallagher recorded solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s. His albums have sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Gallagher received a liver transplant in 1995, but died of complications later that year in London at the age of 47.

Irish Tour 74. Rory Gallagher. Rory Gallagher died much to young. He played and toured into the early nineties, so you are looking at a snapshot of his early work, which just happened to coincide with a dangerous time in Ireland. Rory was the only major artist to consistently play and tour venues in Ireland, that other musicians avoided. IT'74 captures the excitement and love of this great man in a magnificent look back at these shows. I bought an album of a band called Taste, back in the seventies and needless to say I was blown away. It turns out the guitar player was Rory Gallagher.
