BBC Sessions is a compilation album featuring studio sessions and a live concert recorded by English rock group Led Zeppelin for the BBC. It was released on 11 November 1997, by Atlantic Records. Disc one consists of material from four different 1969 BBC sessions. Disc two contains most of the 1 April 1971 concert from the Paris Theatre in London. Disc three was only included in a limited run of album releases and features rare interviews from 1969, 1976/1977, and 1990.

The Complete BBC Sessions ‎(3xCD, Album, Comp, RE, RM). Atlantic. Nice production of the sleeves and insert, the music is the very sharp, the boys are playing at there best in these sessions. Nice mixing and mastering, overall a very good value!! Reply Notify me Helpful. Does anybody can confirm that in THIS RE-issue the '71er Whole Lotta Love Version was cut 7 Minutes from Medley?!

The first disc of BBC Sessions covers a stretch from early March to early August of 1969, a couple months after the release of their self-titled debut and a few before they dropped Led Zeppelin II. It seems wrong to call such a short stretch of time between first and second albums a transitional period, but that's what these sessions capture. The churning, riff-splintering heavy blues-rock of their debut is already shoving against the confines of what they’d already put to tape

Complete BBC Sessions. Extremely rare and unreleased BBC sessions, which were recorded, before and after the release of the critically acclaimed "Forever Breathless The Lonely Word". Re imagined cover artwork.

Listening to the Led Zeppelin on The Complete BBC Sessions is a way different experience than listening to the Led Zeppelin from The Song Remains the Same. The sessions include six appearances on various BBC programs - some recorded in the studio, some.

This is an exceptional sounding release. Nice punchy drums and rich bass. This doesn't sound muddy or compressed at all. Full, dynamic sound. Vocal clarity excellent. A very nice listen and beautiful pressing. A couple little clicks and pops between tracks but no surface noise during the songs, silent background for the most part. Pressed flat and centered, no visible flaws. I enjoy it, the songs sound really good, mastered well. I found this in the record store for $20 which is quite the deal for the good sonics offered on this release.

Really good boot, nice to have 'When The Dawn Starts Creeping In' (non-album track from the 'Declaration' DVD) on vinyl.

The album jacket looks like a black and white photo in the images available on the Internet, but in actuality the color is more of a bluish green, which complements the sky blue marbled vinyl nicely. This results in a striking package, especially for an unofficial release. There is no inner sleeve, liner notes, or information about this recording other than the track listing. I cleaned my copy before playing it, and could not detect any surface noise at moderate volume levels, so this seems to be a high quality pressing. There were a few very minor pops during one or two of the tracks on side one, but they were hardly even worth mentioning. The album jacket and disc labels do contain the correct sequence of tracks for each side, but the sides are mislabeled. A glance at the deadwax confirms that side A contains the tracks listed for side B, and vice versa. The fidelity for the majority of tracks ranges from average to excellent. Some of the tracks are edited at the beginning or end, probably because they contained some snippets of overlapping dialogue or commercials when they were originally aired on the radio. A note to those Felt completists out there: this album appears to be the only vinyl offering where one can find the song "When the Dawn Starts Creeping In," an outtake from Poem of the River that Lawrence chose to leave off of that album. In my opinion, this was a wise decision, although the track itself is pretty good. The following tracks contain edits. "I Didn't Mean to Hurt You," "Ballad of the Band," and "Dismantled King Is off the Throne" all fade out early. "All the People I Like Are Those That Are Dead" fades in at the beginning but does not fade out. The other eight tracks do not sound like they were edited. The track "Vasco Da Gama" is misspelled "Vasco De Gama" on the album jacket and disc labels.Apparently, this release is sourced from three BBC sessions, as related in the 100 Greatest Bootlegs blog entry for March, 2017:FELT - BBC sessions (1984-86)01.
